Base fee:
  • For guest speakers and/or hosts only
  • The event is $3 per person. Lunch is optional at an additional $9 per person.

    You can pay online when you RSVP, or choose "invoice me" to pay at the door on the day of the event.

    Either way, registering for the event ahead of time helps us plan for adequate seating and meals for lunch, so we very much appreciate it!

A collaborative summer program with MOCA and Kennebec Historical Society

Members and Non-Members are always welcome!

Regarding face coverings, it is requested that anyone who is not fully vaccinated for COVID please wear a face covering. The church is on the honor system and trusts that people are truthful about the vaccination status. And even if fully vaccinated, anyone feeling more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so.

Registration $3.00 per person at the door. Proceeds benefit Kennebec Historical Society and Maine Old Cemetery Association. Coffee and breakfast snacks provided by Kennebec Historical Society. Remember to pick up your door prize ticket.

Exhibits, Displays, Cemetery Projects If you have a project to share with others, please bring a display board, photos, or other related materials. Tables will be available to set up displays.

State of Maine Veteran Cemetery System

Glenn Roberts, surveyor and GIS coordinator for the State of Maine Veteran Cemetery System. Explanation of the four Maine Veteran cemeteries’ process, showcasing the markers and the current web-based mapping project.

Noon-1:00
Lunch to benefit South Parish Congregational Church, they will have salad, make-your-own sandwich with a variety of options, chips and dessert $9 per person.

Tour the 5 contiguous cemeteries on the north side of Winthrop Street near the top of the hill: Mount Hope Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bien Venue Cemetery, Fuller Extension Cemetery, and Mount Vernon Cemetery.
