Each year, MOCA recognizes a person or organization that promotes the preservation/conservation of Maine's old cemeteries. The work may include repair, maintenance, or education.

Our MOCA Awards Committee will evaluate each nominee by considering the following criteria:

The project must be complete.
Local government organizations are not eligible for awards.
Awards will be considered for volunteer work performed by an individual or group working in a public or private cemetery.
What is the plan for continued care?

Nominations may be submitted by completing/printing the Awards Nomination form and mailing it with supporting documentation to:
