Beginning in February 2026, MOCA is launching a new online lecture series designed to increase member engagement throughout the year. These 60 to 90-minute virtual programs will feature presenters covering a wide range of cemetery, burial, and conservation topics—all accessible from home.

Our March 12 program will explore the growing interest in green burial. Representatives from Midcoast Maine Green Burial, a grassroots volunteer organization dedicated to establishing a green burial cemetery in Knox, Waldo, or Lincoln County, will discuss environmentally friendly burial practices, education, and advocacy.

Registration will open in mid-February.

All programs begin at 6 p.m. and run approximately 90 minutes. Registration will open first to MOCA members before being offered to the general public. Participation is limited to the first 100 registrants. While the programs are free, a $5 donation is appreciated. All proceeds will benefit MOCA’s education and training programs.
