MOCA volunteers have gathered gravestone inscriptions, locations, driving directions, photographs, and other information for over 7,800 cemeteries in Maine. This is an ongoing project with new information added daily. Our earliest records date to the early 1900s.

Updates & Contributions

We count on volunteers to add and update records. If you know of a burial location that is not yet included in the MOCA database, or have found an error, omission, or have new information about a cemetery, our Cemetery Records Committee will add or update a cemetery profile accordingly.

Members are encouraged to submit updates, corrections, additional information for any cemetery record in the MOCA repository by submitting the Submit Edits/Corrections form at the bottom of each cemetery profile.

Non-members can suggest edits to the MOCA Cemetery Records Committee.
