8:30–12:00 Exhibits, Displays, Cemetery Projects
If you have a cemetery project you wish to share with others, please bring a display board, photos, or other related materials. Tables will be available to set up displays.

9:30–9:45 Gordon Hill Murders, 1873 by Doreen Berry
John Gordon received a guilty verdict for committing a triple homicide and was sentenced to hang. This was the last hanging in the state of Maine after a letter arrived stating the wrong man had been hanged.
9:45–10:15 Cemetery & Memorial Projects of Thorndike
A needed cemetery retaining wall, lot markers for the Gordon Family, chain and post fence installation, and renovation of the Veterans Memorial. These projects may parallel your own, so this could be a helpful time to learn about project and fundraising ideas and sources.

10:30–11:15 MOCA Business Meeting
All are welcome to attend to hear what is happening with MOCA or you may view the displays at this time.
11:15–12:00 Town History, Diana Prizio, project coordinator at the town museum
How OJ Farwell & Sons store and mill and the Farwell family were an integral part of Thorndike and its rich history.
12:00–1:00 Lunch
Create your own sandwich buffet, chips, soda, juice and water. Ice cream for dessert. $9 per person. Proceeds benefit Thorndike Cemetery Committee and Thorndike Veterans Memorial.

1:00 Tours
Doreen Berry will lead a tour of the Sayward Cemetery, 100 Leonard Rd., Thorndike (a short drive from the town office).
Diana Prizio and Allyssa Gregory will also lead a tour of the museum and horse-drawn hearse at Thorndike Mill & Meeting Place (National Register of Historic Places), 37 Gordon Hill Rd. To learn more about this project go to www.Thorndikemill.org
