White Oak Hill Cemetery Tour

Perched upon the summit of White Oak Hill in the western Maine town of Poland, the historic, White Oak Hill Cemetery offers spectacular views of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range. The cemetery is located on the grounds of the former Summit Spring Hotel; a turn-of-the-century grand-hotel that ceased operations after World War II.

Learn more about the history of the White Oak Hill Cemetery and some of its inhabitants, including Mary Knight – victim of Poland’s most notorious murder! A short reception will follow in the Summit Spring Golf Course Clubhouse. The cemetery is located at 292 Summit Spring Road in Poland. Participants should plan to meet at the Clubhouse on the morning of the event. Admission is free. Presented by the Poland Historical Society.
