MOCA is planning another four-day conservator-guided workshop in 2014. A number of you will remember the June 2011 workshop when we worked on a cemetery restoration project at Oxbox Cemetery in Norridgewock. This workshop will be similar.

Joe Ferrannini, whose company is Grave Stone Matters, based in Hoosick Falls, NY, will again be leading the workshop. This will be four days of hands-on, learn by doing, You can attend any number of the scheduled days, but it is recommended that, if possible, you plan to be there for all four days. There will be no set daily fee, but donations will be requested to cover costs.

The spring 2014 MOCA newsletter has many of the details about this workshop which will be held at Old North Parish Cemetery at Wiley's Corner, St. George, ME on May 30, 31, and June 1,2, 2014. Pre-registration will be required. Beginning early in 2014, Cheryl Patten will be sending out emails containing details about this workshiop for those who wish to receive periodic updates as plans are completed. To be added to the list, email Cheryl at cwpatten@tds.net with the subject line 2014 Workshop. Thanks to the North Parish Church Association for hosting this event.

While it is hoped that all able-bodied attendees will participate to the fullest extent possible during the workshop, registered observers are also welcome.

You may wish to attend more days than checked once you’ve discovered what great hands-on skills you are learning and, if so, you may make an additional donation at the time of the workshop.
